He has a Ph.D. in religious studies from Syracuse University, where he studied literature, world religions and depth psychology. He is a specialist in the psychology of C. G. Jung and was a close friend and colleague of the psychologist James Hillman. In his youth Thomas was a Catholic monk, and he is currently publishing his four-volume translation and commentary on the New Testament Gospels. He has also studied music composition and he writes fiction. His next book is Ageless Soul: Living a Full Life with Joy and Purpose, coming out in October and now available for pre-order.
